Official Charities receive an Expo booth and Finish Line Festival Space to promote their cause.  Each charity runner willreceive a
personal site to email friends and family inviting them to contribute.  There is no minimum to raise and no cost to get started!

The Mt. San Antonio College Foundation supports the College by raising funds for student scholarships, campus projects and capital campaigns.  Join your friends, family, alumni, faculty and college supporters by participating in and contribute to the Mt. Sac Foundation at the LA County Half Marathon and the Mt. SAC Heritage Hall 5K!

 Foundations at Fairplex

The Foundations at Fairplex support a vast array of educational programs that provide "a lifetime of learning cleverly disguised as fun" during the L.A. County Fair and throughout the year.  Beginning with the community's youngest learners at infancy, the foundations also provide educational opportunities for school-age children, high school students, adults, and seniors.  Our programs celebrate lifelong learning, starting at 8 weeks old and continuing to 88 years old and beyond!

Events

The start and finish for all events will be at Fairplex on the LA County Fairgrounds. The Half Marathon course will run through Bonelli Regional Park around Puddingstone Lake. The 5K Run and Kids 1 Mile Fun Run will run through Fairplex property.

Start Times:

Bike Tour - 7 a.m.
Half Marathon - 8 a.m.
5K Run - 8 a.m.
Fun Run - 9 a.m.

Post-race review of the Inaugural LA County Half Marathon

The Inaugural LA County Half Marathon is now over and was considered by all in attendance as a HUGE success.  Mother Nature couldn't have been more generous to the runners, giving them blue skies, colorful autumn leaves, clean air, and views of the beautiful snow-capped LA Mountains.  The Half Marathon course that started and finished at Fairplex and traveled through La Verne, San Dimas, and Bonelli Park was given 2-thumbs-up by the multitude of runners that came up to us after the race.  Our congratulations go out to the winners of the Half Marathon, Carlos Handler (1:10:13) and Carly Harris (1:17:38) and to the winners of the Mt. Sac Heritage Hall 5K, Mark Moreno (15:33) and Alicia Jessop (18:14).  See complete results by going to "Race Results" under the "Race Information" tab above.  We would also like to thank and congratulate everyone that came out to support this inaugural event.  We look forward to being back in 2010!
