International City Racing

Led by Olympic Gold Medalist, Bob Seagren, International City Racing, Inc. (ICR) specializes in the development, management, and implementation of endurance, health and fitness events. Established in 2001, ICR has grown from a single event entity to a multiple event powerhouse.
ICR’s signature event, the Long Beach International City Bank Marathon, is now in its 25th year. Over 20,000 plus competitors from across the nation and approximately 20 countries are expected to participate in the Long Beach International City Bank Marathon, Half-Marathon, Marathon Bike Tour, 5K Run / Walk and Kids 1 Mile Fun Run on Sunday, October 11, 2009.
This event continues to grow by more than 20 percent each year over the past six years and is the largest fall marathon in Southern California. ICR currently owns and/or manages the following events in the Southern California region:

 Dana Point Turkey Trot
 OC Marathon
 Pacific Open Water Challenge
 Charter Communications Long Beach Sea Festival
 OC Super Fair 5K Series
 Belmont Shore Christmas Parade
 LA County Half Marathon

In addition to event production, ICR owns and operates the ICR Beach Runners Training Program, the official marathon and half marathon training program for the Long Beach International City Bank Marathon, the OC Marathon, and the Surf City Marathon.

Being a healthy lifestyle enthused company, ICR has also recently developed the ICR Track Club, a team that has been winning prestigious races throughout California since its inception.

Events

The start and finish for all events will be at Fairplex on the LA County Fairgrounds. The Half Marathon course will run through Bonelli Regional Park around Puddingstone Lake. The 5K Run and Kids 1 Mile Fun Run will run through Fairplex property.

Start Times:

Bike Tour - 7 a.m.
Half Marathon - 8 a.m.
5K Run - 8 a.m.
Fun Run - 9 a.m.

Post-race review of the Inaugural LA County Half Marathon

The Inaugural LA County Half Marathon is now over and was considered by all in attendance as a HUGE success.  Mother Nature couldn't have been more generous to the runners, giving them blue skies, colorful autumn leaves, clean air, and views of the beautiful snow-capped LA Mountains.  The Half Marathon course that started and finished at Fairplex and traveled through La Verne, San Dimas, and Bonelli Park was given 2-thumbs-up by the multitude of runners that came up to us after the race.  Our congratulations go out to the winners of the Half Marathon, Carlos Handler (1:10:13) and Carly Harris (1:17:38) and to the winners of the Mt.
